"Can't Hold On Much Longeeeeer!"

I feel Cliff Hangers pain (if you don't know who I'm talking about check out an episode of Between the Lions:)  We are waiting, and waiting, and waiting for our child abuse clearances to come in.  We initially made a mistake on them and had to redo them but they are just taking forever.  We think it has something to do with the fact that we've lived in a couple of different states.  Anyway, everything else is GREAT praise God!  Our home study and all it's visits are done.  Dana has written it up and sent it to the main office in VA.  As soon as those clearances come in they will sign and notarize it.  Then we can send off our I600A to get a biometric finger printing appointment and eventually  that last piece of the Dossier our I171.
I know there is much more waiting to come so I'm sure this is good practice:)  Also, my devotions today had me reading Proverbs 3:5 "Trust in the Lord with all you heart, and lean not on your own understanding"  Today I'm choosing to remember that God is in control of this whole process (glitches and all!) and He knows my son and exactly where we need to be on the waiting list to get him!  (Do me a favor and remind me I said that later:)

Haha! Gotta love Cliff Hanger! I don't know where you get this impatience thing. The rest of us are VERY patient! ;-)

Hi! I am a fellow AWAA YG member and my husband, Jeff, and I are awaiting our I171-H form. Just did our fingerprinting this last week!

I was given some good advice that I thought I would pass along to you. When we got our biometrics appt, it was for a date 3 weeks away! We went in early and they let us get our prints done! I'm not sure if that is going to expedite things, but it sure helps us feel like we have done all we can to speed up the process. Now it is up to God as to when we can be DTE! :o)

Praying you feel his presence in the waiting. I get how hard this waiting can be, even when we know that God is overseeing all of it! ;o) It will be fun to travel this journey together to our sons (we are requesting a little boy 0 to 6 mos old)! Praying your CASI form comes very very SOON!

Blessings to you and your family!

Hey! Thanks for stopping by my blog! Good to hear from you! :o) In answer to your questions:

1) We did not call before going to get our biometrics (figured it was better to ask forgiveness than permission this time). We walked in, said we had an appointment but we were there early. They let us walk right up and do it as though the appt was that day, and the kind man made a note that we were there a few weeks early. It was so SWEET! Jeff and I had to go separate days and they let both of us do it early!

Praying once you get your appt date you will have the same positive response and be able to do it early too! Worth a try! :o)

2) Actually, Jeff and I live in Boise, Idaho. Jeff was raised in Vail, CO, though and his parents still live there. We SO LOVE to visit them.....CO is awesome!

You are in our prayers!
